Mellow Rock Games 2025
A mini doc submission to the Mellow Rock Games. The short film follows a great friend of mine in his attempt to send a (sandbagged) staple climb in the Charlottesville area stretch of Blue Ridge Park way. Preexisting Conditions V9.
My time spent in central Virginia has given me the opportunity to train with and photograph some of the strongest and most dedicated climbers I have ever met.
Maybe it’s the razor sharp greenstone boulders, Or maybe it’s the 5 month season from late November to early March, that forces us into the 30° darkness. Could it be the grungy, crimpy, and sandbagged sets at the only climbing gym for 50 miles.
